1. Our commitment
You own your book and everything in it. We take no ownership of your rights and no share of your royalties, now or in the future. We are paid one agreed fee for our services.
2. Copyright
You are the author and the copyright owner of your book. The copyright notice in your book names you, and nothing in our work together transfers your copyright to us.
3. Your ideas and materials
The ideas, stories, frameworks and materials you share with us remain yours. We use them only to create, publish and promote your book, and we treat them as confidential.
4. Work we create for you
The manuscript, cover design and interior design created for your book are produced for you. On full payment of the agreed fee, the rights you need to publish, sell and use your book and its cover are yours, as set out in your written author agreement.
5. Royalties
You keep 100% of the royalties your book earns. Royalties are the amounts paid by retailers and distributors after their own fees and printing costs, which are set by those retailers and distributors rather than by us.
6. Credit
You are credited as the author of your book. Our writers and editors are not credited on the cover or title page unless you choose to acknowledge them.
7. Control after publication
Because the book is yours, you decide how it is used after publication, including:
- Pricing and promotions, within the rules of each retailer.
- Printing additional copies for events, clients or gifts.
- Translations, audio editions and future editions.
- Using the content in talks, courses, programmes and licensing.
8. Accounts and listings
Your written author agreement sets out how retail listings and distribution accounts are set up for your book and how royalties reach you, so that you have visibility of your sales.
9. Confidential authorship
Some authors prefer not to be publicly associated with a publishing partner. We will not name you as an Omega author or use your book in our marketing without your permission.
10. If our work together ends
If our work together ends before publication, the arrangements for any partly completed work are set out in your author agreement and our refunds and cancellations policy. Your own ideas and materials always remain yours.
